I jump in the shower and close my eyes remembering Joseph’s eyes looking at me so intensely, so profoundly. I let the warm water caress me a while and I can’t help it. I keep thinking about Joseph. I remember the image of him walking towards me shirtless when we hung out by the pool over the summer. The sun making his wet skin glisten as he climbed out of the pool giving me a smile. Such a smile. He is so beautiful. I could see a soft trail of hair from his navel down the middle of his lower belly. His swimming trunks blocking my view from the rest of the treasure. My brain goes psycho with the thought. Soon I thought. I will be old enough. Only, soon… seems so far away.
Some Kind of Heaven
