TEXAS

I was trying to avoid this because I just get too emotional with everything I see in the news.

Today my husband told me about an 18 month old first responders rescued clinging to her dead mother as they were floating away under a bridge.  Chilling.  They saved the baby from hyperthermia but they couldn’t revive the mother.

I’m in tears that things like this can happen and in awe of how quickly life can be extinguished.  I have family in Houston but thankfully their area, though flooded, was not as severely affected as the rest of Houston.  They’re safe.

I just wanted, needed, to mention that our prayers, thoughts are with them.  Already made donations through my work and my children’s school.  And I pray that the aftermath of such devastation doesn’t impact souls for the negative but invigorates us all to continue and thrive, fight.  We need to love one another more, be more sympathetic towards each other.

That’s all.  Love y’all

Peace out.

Mel
