He slept… alone

(I was listening to this song tonight and this came out.  I hope you like it.)

*********************************

She danced in tunes familiar, comforting his thoughts.

He was in love with her.

She graced the days with sunshine, cradling his view.

He was in love with her.

She stood there, far. There between the cubes.

He was in love with her.

She walked in circles, in parallel, blind to his presence.

He was in love with her.

She laughed in echoes of life and soothing melodies.

He was in love with her.

She looked his way… through him towards another.

He was in love with her.

She spoke in words of sweet refuge, lips connecting messages tender.

He was in love with her.

She gasped as she blotted a spill, an event of movement, delicate, sweet.

He was in love with her.

She traveled far, came back and didn’t see, notice… him.

He was in love with her.

She dreamt a soft whisper in the air, for someone… else.

He was in love with her.

She walked away… passed him, into the arms of another.

He loved her so. He wept.

His heart swollen… the sting of her, aching deep, penetrating despair.

He closed his eyes.

He slept… alone.
