100 DoRaM: Day 42 – One Day

Walking along a parallel
You etched a groove inside my heart
It lay concealed by life-long struggles
Waiting for its path to start

Running along a parallel
The world became too fast too soon
It buried me in concrete kisses
Too heavy for my heart to swoon

Floating a long a parallel
The life I thought was perfectly written
Bared little resemblance to my dreams
And there my true self lay deeply hidden

Soaring along a parallel
The truth was yet to be revealed
The way it began to carve itself out
Without you, it dared not be sealed

Dreaming along a parallel
Immersed in emotions we longed to say
Never expecting the wave of affection
Craving the knowledge of… One Day

      1. We’ve spoken a couple of times. I miss her a great deal and I hope the last thing she told me about coming back soon is really soon! I’m a little sad to be here without her brilliance as well.

I will definitely share your sentiments. Then I’m going to kick her ass for staying away so long. 😉

  1. I’ve read your poem three times, and I listened to the “Emotional Music” many times..your beautiful words are full of waves, gathering momentum, and craving for more, just like the music, cascading on and on, and wanting to hear more…… so I wrote a few words…
    You walked into my heart
And you ran into my past
    You floated into my soul
And you soared into my dreams
    I crave for you….one day
And I wave to you… today

    1. Perfection! Can I use this… full credit to you for day 43?

Ivor you are a magnificent being! You have no idea how perfect your lines are and though they are a more perfect ending to my poem, they stand alone very powerful.

      1. I wrote a comment to Janebasilblog, yesterday, and said a nice line to her becaused she deserved all the praise and healing she could get, so I wrote this for her.. “I hope your heart is bathing is bathing itself in the soothing oils of your glorious soul”, and hopefully she’s going to put it into one of her poems…
