Lynyrd Skynyrd – Call me the breeze

Hello my lovelies!  Just having a bit a fun! Not sure if this was a challenge, duel or whatever but just having fun.  I love music!  Earlier I posted song and somehow here I am tagging Mr. Alex back with this.  LOL.  Call me the breeze is a super cool song!  The lyrics are poetic… they’re lyrics.  I think so anyway.  Cool beans and all that guitar!   The piano!!!  Love.  Now the video… so fun.  Smokey and Bandit.  I might be giving my age a way but I was very young when it came out.  LOL!  Anyway…

Go visit Alex here to see what the fork he’s up to.

What else you got Alex!

(lyrics to this song)

Call me the breeze
I keep blowin’ down the road
Well, now they call me the breeze
I keep blowin’ down the road
I ain’t got me nobody
I don’t carry me no load

Ain’t no change in the weather
Ain’t no changes in me
Well, there ain’t no change in the weather
Ain’t no changes in me
And I ain’t hidin’ from nobody
Nobody’s hidin’ from me
Oh, and that’s the way it’s supposed to be

Well, I got that green light baby
I got to keep movin’ on
Well, I got that green light baby
I got to keep movin’ on

Well, I might go out to California
Might go down to Georgia, I don’t know
Well, I dig you Georgia peaches
Makes me feel right at home

Well, now I dig you Georgia peaches
Makes me feel right at home
But I don’t love me no one woman
So, I can’t stay in Georgia long

Well, now they call me the breeze
I keep blowin’ down the road
Well, now they call me the breeze
I keep blowin’ down the road
I ain’t got me nobody
I don’t carry me no load
Ooh Mr. Breeze

  1. Trivia: My dad used to live in Stuart, Florida, which is near Jupiter Island. That’s where Burt Reynolds and Loni Anderson used to live, and I went by their house and touched their mailbox!!!!

I’m not going to lie – southern rock isn’t my favorite. I like a few things here and there. I’m not sure why. I used to listen to Hank Williams Jr.’s Greatest Hits in college.

      1. Oh, I like all kinds of music – in fact, you’re the first person I’ve ever met who likes more varied and diverse kinds of music than me, which I love! – but southern rock and country aren’t two of them. Even so, I’m familiar with and know the lyrics to all sorts of southern rock and country songs. For example, Flirting With Disaster by Molly Hatchet reminds me of my uncle (RIP). I love to do the part that goes “A womp bomp bomp day”. I have listened to the Eagles a ton of times.

Anyway, sorry for the bloviation. I love you the mostest. When we make music, I never tire of it.
