One year on WordPress – Part One

FictionLogo

Hello my lovelies!  I have spent the latter part of this evening searching for the WordPress sticker congratulating me on my first year anniversary of Fiction.  I’m very please and not so pleased to bring to you part one of this short series, this late as I have a young lady anxiously waiting (Novus).  Because of life and someone distracting me with comic book stuff (You know who you are!) the other night, I did nothing!  Also… I was on YouTube and Twitter and I just couldn’t stop.  That is another can of worms that I shall leave for later.  Anyway… I’m doing this thing in parts.  First, it is so difficult to talk about myself and second… I got nothing else at this time.

Last week I got this sticker in my notifications congratulating me.  I lost it.  I can’t access it.  I wanted to post it here.  Nothing.  Why?  I waited too long.  Now I’m just rambling really because I was so frustrated I couldn’t find it.  It’s fine.  I’m fine.  LOL!  It is really difficult for me, for some reason, to talk about myself this way.  I mean it has been an amazing experience.  I have met so many beautiful and talented people.  My life has been enriched, no joke!  But for some reason, I wasn’t sure I wanted to bring attention to my head this way.  I kind of had a panic attack, to be honest, when I finally decided to acknowledge this recognition.  I’m baffled as to why, honestly.  I just got a little stressed.  No pressure.  Right?  Also, I was going to wait and reveal my new logo image at the same time I posted this but it was so beautiful, I just had to announce it straight away!  So, in a way I did start celebrating last week.  If you missed all the commotion about my beautiful logo, go here. I should mention that it is due to the lovely Lisa from Lismore Paper Co that I have such a perfect logo.  Go check her out!

Now without further… whatever, I want to thank my lovely friend Novus Lectio.  She graciously agreed to interview me, sort of, for this event.  I voiced it.  She came up with some pretty good questions.  I hope I did a good job answering them.  I have too much too say when I talk.  I can talk.  I hope you all do not mind.  Novus!  Thank you so much my darlin’ for doing this for me.  I am so grateful you’re in my life.  You are something else and I like that about you! Muuaah!

Okay… I also did this interview in parts because I got interrupted in the middle.  Lucky you!  Two recordings of Mel rambling.  LOL!

Hello Mel Gutiér, I’m honored to be the one interviewing you for your first year anniversary among the Word Press community. It must have been a busy yet thrilling time for you. I know that you’re a writer, poet and music lover. But what are the hidden secrets that lie behind the sweet, loving, romantic Mel? That’s what I’m going to try to find out.

What can you tell us about your experience among us?

Can you tell me more about yourself Mel?

Have you been writing before joining WP?

You’re about to publish a book, can you tell us what is it called?

How did (please put the name of the novel) come about it?

How long did it take to transform your thought about writing Some Kind of Heaven into practice?

Why did you choose to write a romantic novel instead of let’s say… a crime novel?

What other genre would you think to write after this one?

What is the daily routine in the life of Mel Gutiér, both the woman and the writer?

Do you have a specific time to write?

What do you do other than writing, what are your hobbies?

Did you always want to be a writer, or did it happen one day?

What was your hardest scene to write?

Why did you join WP?

Are you a cat or a dog person? Do you have any pets?

Do you listen to music when you write?

What is the fun thing about you that no one else knows?

Which pieces of writing are you most proud of, and why?

How long on average does it take you to write a post?

Any last words at the end of this interview?

Mentions in this interview:

Little Fears  – You have been with me the longest.  Thanks so much for your support.  You have always had my back, buddy! Your work ethic is incredible and I hope to grow up to be just like you.  Well… a little bit, anyway!

A Not So Jaded Life  – You have no idea how much your support and encouragement have meant to me.  Thank you, beautiful, for sharing your journey and allowing me to be me during mine!

She – This door is alarmed – But I am not, because you’re amazing and wonderful. Thank you for challenging me to think outside the boxed up language cage!  Lucid dreaming has never been as intoxicating as when YOU describe it.

Music please! (*winks, blows a kiss*)  I just really like this and it suits me right now.  Hugs my lovelies!

  5. You take a picture of the sky every day! That is such a cool idea. Happy first anniversary, Mel. And I hope many more… Cheers. What a fun post. The audio adds to the experience. By the way, you have a lovely voice. It was a pleasure listening to you. Just so you know you and Lisa have a very similar voice, so relaxing and delightful! xoxo

    1. Do it! It wasn’t that bad after all. What’s bad is that I have to more posts and two more having to do with ME, awards.

You’re a rock star!!! Too bad we all can’t line up to get your autograph! 😉😎🙌

You’ll be great! Look forward to that. I’m still bummed out about not having saved that sticker. 😕

      Next year! 😀

Mike!!! Thanks for sticking around! Hugs! 😘
